Ms. Brie E. Turso has joined CMSA as Research Associate. She received a B.S. in Engineering Science from Pennsylvania State University in 2004. Before coming to CMSA, Ms. Turso was Engineer at Bechtel Bettis. Her research interests include construction and optimization of models to accurately represent processes and systems.

Nielsen joins CMSA as Research Associate

Mr. Daniel W. Nielsen has joined CMSA as Research Associate. He received a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2003. Before coming to CMSA, Mr. Nielsen was Software Engineer at XonTech. His research interests include data conditioning, software-hardware design, and visualization.

Bradley joins CMSA as Research Associate

Ms. Stacy L. Bradley has joined CMSA as Research Associate. She received a M.A. in Experimental Psychology from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2006. Before coming to CMSA, Ms. Bradley was Research Assistant at the Cognitive Aging Laboratory at UAH. Her research interests include cognitive performance, speed of processing, and ergonomics.

UAH Research Review: New center busy at work supporting U.S. space program

A newly established UAH research center is already conducting work in support of America’s space program. The Center for Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (CMSA) is developing new modeling methods, applications of simulation techniques in novel and specialized circumstances as well as simulation verification and validation. Reed joins CMSA as Research Associate

Mr. Gregory S. Reed has joined CMSA as Research Associate. He received a B.S.E in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2006. Before coming to CMSA, Mr. Reed was Test Design Co-op Engineer at ADTRAN. His research interests include human behavior modeling, experimental economics, and technical intelligence.

Rapid growth of the modeling and simulation industry has resulted in the creation of a new research center at The University of Alabama in Huntsville and the recruitment of a new scientist. Dr. Mikel Petty, former chief scientist at the Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center at Old Dominion University, has joined UAH to lead the university's efforts at supporting the modeling and simulation industry in Alabama, university officials announced today. Colley joins CMSA as Senior Research Scientist

Dr. Wesley N. Colley has joined CMSA as Senior Research Scientist. He received a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from Princeton University in 1998. Before coming to CMSA, Dr. Colley was a Senior Research Scientist at the Virginia Modeling Analysis and Simulation Center. His research interests include physics-based modeling, model verification and validation, agent-based modeling, and astrophysical research.

Petty joins CMSA as Director

Dr. Mikel D. Petty has joined CMSA as Director. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida in 1997. Before coming to CMSA, Dr. Petty was Chief Scientist at Old Dominion University’s Virginia Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation Center. His research interests include simulation interoperability and composability, multi-resolution simulation, human behavior modeling, modeling and simulation education, and applications of theory to simulation.
